About Dr. Shanks:
Dr. Andrea Shanks is a 2011 graduate of Texas A&M University College of Veterinary Medicine. She has a background in small animal medicine in the private, corporate, shelter, and rural emergency services. This unique background makes it easy to step in many different veterinary environments with ease. Special interests are internal medicine cases, dermatology, and techniques in high volume spay & neuter e. She has performed relief veterinary services since 2019. (Formerly Dr. Muegge for clinic references before 2024) She now resides in Wharton county with her husband Brandon, daughter Liv, and two stepsons Sully & Rayne. They have 5 dogs, 3 fish, and are actively involved in FFA projects with show heifers & steers.
